The History

The Old Armstrong town site on Lansdowne Rd around 1900
Okanagan Asparagus Farm is located on Lansdowne Rd in Armstrong, British Columbia. Lansdowne Rd is the original town site for Armstrong, the town was moved to it's present site to be closer to the rail line that went in after the town was established. And Yes, they actually moved some of the buildings! Our driveway is part of the old carriage road, and traces of it's pathway can be seen on Google Earth through the back grain fields. Armstrong has a rich history in farming but especially Asparagus and Celery production.
